Xkey works with all DVD drives apart from:
Hitachi 0500AA
Lite-on DG16D5S

yeah but the liteon that doesnt work was released somewhere around sep 2010

i believe the liteon that dosent work was released around mid 2011.so its probably a safe bet if you get an early 2010 system your good to go.

If you do a good job, you can buy one, open it and check what drive you have. I got the 1175 first time, took it back, and then got a 0400 the second time

Mine was built in Late March 2011 and has a liteon 16d4s Harddrive.
